Posted by on Jun 25, 2014 in News | 0 comments

The New York/New Jersey Trail Conference, a founding member of the Coalition, and the Department of Environmental Conservation have formed a partnership to protect natural resources and enhance recreation in the Catskill Mountain region.

The “Catskills Conservation Corps” has as its goal to engage more people in stewardship and outdoor recreation projects in the Catskills.  Under a contract with DEC, the Trail Conference will recruit and supervise volunteers to perform various stewardship tasks in conjunction with DEC’s efforts in the Catskills.
